“A Mare,” Oltremateria’s revolutionary sensory surface, just unveiled at the last Design Week in Milan and in the pages of “Tile Italia 2/2023. ““A Mare” is a characterful texture with natural colors and finishes that plays with the words Sea and Love, expressing a love for the land, the sea, nature, matter and environmental sustainability.
An innovative material composed of more than 60% Italian certified recycled products (sea shells), it offers high mechanical strength, suitable for floors and walls, and is certified for food contact. Its composition includes water-based polymers derived from renewable sources such as sunflower oil, sea shells from Italian certified recycled, all 100% fully recyclable.
Its production uses innovative new generation polymers, processing the materials totally cold, without the use of ovens and with very low energy consumption, thus promoting the circular economy. In addition, “A Mare” can be included in CAM projects, has LCA (Life Cycle Assessment) certification, the possibility of obtaining credits in LEED certification, a very low VOC emission certification, and contains no formaldehyde or added solvents.
