INTERNAL PARKING: HOW TO MAKE A FLOORING
- On 6 July 2021
The presence of covered parking lots is increasing and they all have a common feature: the floor
More and more often we find ourselves parking our car in covered parking lots of large structures such as shopping centers, airports, stations or accommodation facilities.
And we have all noticed that the floors are smooth and often differently colored according to the rest areas or sectors.
The material with which it is made is, as you can easily guess, resin.
Why do you choose this product? First of all, it allows considerable customization as well as guaranteeing excellent performance.
However, if we think that any type of resin can be used in these projects, we are wrong.
In fact, these floors must guarantee compliance with particular requirements since the continuous stresses represented by cars and heavier vehicles are constant and frequent.
In this regard, therefore, they must comply with specific certifications to be used in these contexts.
In practice, the construction of the floor in the covered parking must initially include a concrete screed on which, then, the resin is applied evenly to have a flat and homogeneous surface.
All this ensures:
– Resistance to wear, abrasion and chemical agents;
– Impermeability to water, oils and fuels;
– Crack Bridging (ability of a coating to resist, without breaking, the expansion of a crack in the substrate on which it is anchored);
– Easy maintenance and cleaning;
– Faculty of customization.
Oltremateria® technology is able to offer all these features and much more.
First of all, they are eco-friendly resins, free of gypsum, cement and epoxy resins, highly polluting materials.
Furthermore, if treated with Ecopur®, they have the ability to purify the air in light or dark conditions as well as helping to prevent bacterial and viral proliferation.
