In Italy there is an artistic project in favor of non-profit organizations, foundations and individuals who want to donate themed decorations to hospitals. Oltremateria shares the philosophy of Ospedali Dipinti.
Today we talk about a meritorious and unique reality, we talk about Ospedali Dipinti.
It is a reality that was born in 2012 by the will of its founder and artist, Silvio Irilli and like all great things was born a bit by chance.
In fact, the founder had been contacted to decorate the Oncology Department of the Polyclinic of Rome where he painted an aquarium.
A new, original thing, never seen in certain spaces but that had a great positive feedback from doctors, children and their parents.
From there, the intuition to give life to something special of its kind: until the day before no one would have dreamed of walking in an hospital among many fish on the walls or inside a forest.
Word of mouth was immediate and viral.
Several hospitals have contacted Mr Irilli and entrusted him with the decoration of numerous rooms, also because they immediately understood the psychological impact it could have on patients and families.
The pediatric intensive care of the Hospital of Padua, the pediatric oncohematology of the Hospital of Taranto, the waiting room of the National Cancer Institute of Milan are just some of the many projects carried out in all these years.
Mr. Irilli had the chance to meet Oltremateria and its CEO, Loris Casalboni, always sensitive to certain issues.
“When I learned about Ospedali Dipinti – starts Loris Casalboni– I did not need to think about it for a moment. I contacted and met Silvio, an extraordinary person”.
” Oltremateria is present and will be if Ospedali Dipinti decides to involve us. It’s important to try to alleviate the hardest moments of the little ones – continues the holder-. If called we will participate to give a smile to those who need it allowing them to live in decorated environments and breathe pure air, thanks to Ecopur someone by Oltremateria, the famous ecoresin applicable on floors, walls, furniture and furnishings. It is unique in its kind because it purifies the air of the rooms 24 hours a day, even in darkness: all in a natural way, without using titanium dioxide. It is also able to create a barrier against bacterial and viral proliferation including Coronaviruses”.
