Thanks to A Mare, the new resin surface for the floors, Oltremateria enters the volume of the Emilia Romagna Region.
The Responsible Innovators Award is an award established by the Emilia Romagna Region, now in its eighth edition.
It aims to make known and enhance all the activities of the regional entrepreneurial fabric that aim to address and contribute to overcoming the challenge for sustainability put in place by the UN with the 2030 Agenda.
The UN has established 17 interlinked goals that constitute the strategy to achieve a “better and more sustainable future for all”.
Projects must contribute to one or more Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) and go in different directions.
They present different interpretations and ideas that show all the creativity and regional entrepreneurial innovation.
The 2022 edition garnered 83 nominations but, after strict checks, only 80 were admitted and Oltremateria was one of them.
All the selected competitors will become part of the List of Innovators in Charge of the Emilia-Romagna Region that can then decide their involvement for initiatives related to sustainable development.
A Mare, the surface for floors based on seashells from the certified recycling process, has been selected and included in the guide.
Consider that the percentage of shells is over 60%!
A Mare thus contributes to four SDGS objectives that are:
– Health and well-being: Ensure a healthy life and promote the well-being of all ages;
– Sustainable cities and communities: Making cities and settlements inclusive, safe, resilient and sustainable;
– Responsible consumption and production: Ensuring sustainable consumption and production patterns;
– Combating climate change: Take urgent measures to combat climate change and its consequences.
These are the 4 important objectives that Oltremateria has always aimed to pursue so as to become an integral part of its mission and corporate vision.
