The prestigious Association has selected and awarded the new Oltremateria flooring surface: 2022 closes with another great success!
The ADI, short for Industrial Design Association, is an organization founded in 1956 that contains many professional figures such as designers, companies, researchers, teachers, critics, journalists specialized in design: project, consumption, recycling, training.
Since 2008, 3 awards are for designers whose creation, product or service stands out in particular with regard to the innovation of materials, manufacturing processes, technologies used or whether it brings changes in individual and social behaviors, in criticism and applied research.
The ADI, therefore, has an additional weight as it becomes a real path that leads to the promotion of design and to enhance innovation, not only in the professional and entrepreneurial, but also at the institutional level.
In fact, the three winners will be brought to the attention of the President of the Italian Republic by the ADI and then compete for the National Innovation Award, what is called the “Prize of Prizes”.
The ADI, this year, has selected and awarded A Mare, awarding the Innovation Award ADI Design Index 2022.
The innovation is linked to the fact of having created a resin surface for floors with over 60% of sea shells from the world of certified recycling combined with the ECOPUR finish is able to purify the air 24 hours a day and help the abatement of bacteria and viruses.
On the world market A Mare is the first and only surface to have such characteristics.
The award ceremony took place at the Treccani Institute, inside the prestigious personal library of Giovanni Treccani.
Present for Oltremateria the CEO, Loris Casalboni:” We conclude the year in beauty – debuts visibly excited but very happy-. It ‘a few weeks ago the double award given to A Mare by Archiproducts Design Awards (victory of the category finishes and Sustainability Award 2022, ed) and now we have received this very important award in a location of unique historical and cultural importance. We will be included in the ADI Design Index 2022 which is a bit of the World Design Bible: a great success and a fair recognition to the efforts of Oltremateria.”
