A MARE, the new continuous surface of Oltremateria, is born from a mixture of natural materials containing traces of ancestral life: the shells of the sea.
A MARE expresses the tactility of natural sands to touch with the eyes.
Solid and concrete, recalling the power of nature recreating an alchemy that connects mind and body.
It is the first continuous floor surface with very low thickness composed of products derived from renewable sources and with more than 60% of product from certified recycling, with high mechanical strength, suitable for floors.
It is also suitable for food contact, thanks to HACCP certifications.
It consists of water-based polymers, as well as coming from renewable sources such as sunflower oil and with the addition of shells of oysters and shells from Italian certified recycling and totally recyclable.
They are innovative and new generation polymers, coming from renewable sources of plant origin.
Oltremateria has always been careful to impact the environment as little as possible.
For this reason, the processing of raw materials takes place totally cold, without the use of blast furnaces and with very low energy consumption.
A MARE can be inserted in CAM projects.
It is certified LCA (Life Cycle Assessment) and gives the possibility to obtain credits in the LEED certification, that is the certification of very low VOC emission both in reference to the French standard A+ and the Japanese standard 4 *** (four stars).
Free of formaldehyde and added solvents it is totally non-toxic as well as not releasing harmful and dangerous substances.
With A MARE, Oltremateria wanted to propose innovative continuous surfaces for floors and walls characterized by a surprising materiality in just 3 mm thick.
Surfaces that amaze the touch and sight through indefinite colors, soft with neutral and warm strokes, for the realization of spaces that flow into each other.
